First Chime - [Action]

[Leaning up against the fountain in the plaza is a girl, a new feather if you will, which is pretty obvious by looking at the white dress she has on. There's no telling how long she's been out here exactly, but it's been a while considering the fact that she's soaked. Her blonde hair is sticking to her cheeks and neck, her white wings are slightly darker and heavier from the water and her dress is practically clinging onto her thin legs.

And what's strange is...

...She doesn't appear to be moving. She doesn't stir nor does she open her eyes. No matter how long you may stare at her, she just stays like that; sitting on the cold ground, holding something loosely in her hands while the rain pelts her continuously. Is she sleeping?]

[She damn well better be sleeping! Because the fact that she's laying there so still could easily make paranoid and dramatic people think she's dead.

Which is why he runs over to her side immediately upon seeing her and kneels down beside her, shaking her shoulder gently.]

A-ah... Please wake up, miss!

[WELL WHAT IF SHE'S NOT SLEEPING? Because she technically is still dead.

But in this situation no she really is sleeping and the shaking is enough to get her to start slowly waking up. She brings her hands to her face, leaving the bell charm in her lap so she can rub her eyes]

W-What?

But oh good, she's waking up. When Hayate notices her doing so, he lets go of her shoulder and sighs in relief. He takes a quick glance at that bell charm, but then looks back up(...?) at her and holds his umbrella up so that it covers the two of them.]

A-ah, good, you're okay.. You shouldn't be sleeping in the rain like this, miss. You could catch a cold.

Sleeping... [It's not a question, she's just repeating it to herself so it gets through her brain. And when it does, she lets her hands fall from her face, takes a quick look around then stares up at Hayate]

Where are we?

[..Well, that probably explains her new feather dress! She must be new here...]

A-ah um... This place is called Luceti, miss. It's a world that's different from the ones we come from. It's... kind of confusing.. [..hm.] Explaining out here in the rain probably wouldn't be a good idea though.. We should go inside some place and I could explain it to you there.

Luceti... [Oh. Right. It's raining, isn't it?] That sounds like a good idea. [better not to catch a cold! So she tries to hoist herself up, pressing her hands against the fountain's edge for support...

Only to fall back down on her butt] Ow..

[Hayate stands back up as Rhyme attempts to do so as well. And.. then of course she plops back down..]

A-ah... Be careful, miss...! Um... Here.

[And then he offers his hand out to her to help her back up.]

[She blinks and for a moment, just sits there dazed until she notices Hayate's hand. With a smile she takes it]

I-I'm sorry. Thank you.

Mm, it's not a problem at all. [Pulling her up then! And holding his umbrella up a little higher so that it covers both of them.

...Except she's already kind of soaked so... he takes off his coat, shifting a bit so that the umbrella stays above them, and then puts it over her shoulders.] There we go! There's a bakery right by here, so we could head over there and get something warm to eat while I explain whatever I can.

[Her back still hurts as she gets up but with his help she manages to stay up on her feet this time! His help plus the coat he just gave her makes her smile]

Thank you very much! [So nice Hayate] That would be great.

[Well, if she's having trouble standing, he wouldn't mind if she used his shoulder. ...He wouldn't mind even carrying her either, but yeah.]

Mm! You're welcome. My name is Hayate, by the way. Hayate Ayasaki. What's yours?

[OHYEAAAAAAH and coolaid man bursts through the wall]

Oh, thank you! [She'll walk right on in]

[Before following her in, Hayate shakes the umbrella out to get rid of any excess water, and then closes it. Once he's inside, he gives Rhyme a big smile as he glances around at the pastries.]

You can get whatever you'd like, Rhyme-san. It's all very good! And it's free, as well as everything else that's here in Luceti.

Ah--really?? That's really nice! [That's one less thing for her to worry about. She flusters for a moment then begins to wander down the aisles of pastries. She feels a little awkward when trying to decide what to pick out, but eventually she grabs just a simple chocolate doughnut]

Are you going to get anything, Hayate?

Mm, yes. It is really nice, isn't it? And convenient as well.

[Especially for someone who's debt-ridden for life. He follows her as she wanders down the aisles, glancing around himself for something. Hmmm.]

I am, but I'm not sure what to get yet... Perhaps just a muffin... [Looking, looking... Oh! A banana nut muffin ~~/shot~~! That'll do. So he'll pick that up.]

It really is! [She can't imagine how difficult it would've been for everyone who came here if they had to have money on them for new clothes and food...

But she smiles at his choice] Good choice. Those look yummy.

They're really good! If you want to try some, you may do so, Rhyme-san.

[But! For now, let's go find some place to sit so he can explain everything.]

I think I just might sometime!

[Giggling a bit, she follows Hayate to wherever he'd like to sit down!!]

[Welp this table works well..?! He pulls a chair out for Rhyme, and then takes one of the other seats for himself.]
